Friends of Big Island Drug Court is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that raises resources to support our Island's Drug Court programs. Friends works closely with the Drug Court Liaison to ensure that resources most effectively support Drug Court's priorities and needs, and are administered through Drug Court's holistic approach.

How Your Contribution Can Help
Donations of any size can support a participant's progress towards successfully completing the program and building a vibrant life. For example:
- $10 can provide a round-trip taxi coupon for a medical or job interview appointment
- $30 can provide gift cards to incentivize up to 3 people to complete their program goals
- $50 can cover fees for a government ID and other basic documents needed to obtain employment
- $150 can purchase a refurbished laptop for education, vocational training, employment and social services
- $300 can cover a portion of a deposit towards permanent housing and help participants avoid homelessness

Friends is a volunteer-driven organization. Volunteer board members help identify resources, support Drug Court activities like graduation ceremonies and community events, and organize support activities like collecting and distributing gift baskets.
